The bridge on Clemens Drive near Old Higbee Mill Road has been reopened to traffic.    The bridge had been closed to allow crews to make necessary repairs after the state determined that the bridge had suffered structural wear and tear.

Truck-a-Palooza, the city’s annual touch-a-truck event, will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, between 1 and 4 p.m. at 1631 Old Frankfort Pike. This event is open to all ages and is free to the public.

As part of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government’s infrastructure program, chemical foam is being injected into the sanitary sewer system to control and inhibit root growth within the system.

Citizens on the streets listed below may see vehicles, work crews, and small equipment. Work crews will be wearing reflective vests and appropriate identification. Certain conditions may cause this schedule to change.

Closure will allow for sewer pipe work and resurfacing the roadway.

It's o-fish-al! The Lexington Police Department is hosting Cops and Bobbers Saturday, June 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gainesway Park Fishing Pond. This event is designed for children and is free to attend.

The park will provide new opportunities for recreation and regional tourism in Lexington.

Events include an ice cream social, concerts, the Bluegrass 10,000, a parade, fireworks and more.

The goal is to link Brighton Trail to the Isaac Murphy Memorial Art Garden trailhead.
