UPDATE – April 20, 2023:  On April 10, 2023, at around 9:02 p.m., officers responded to the 3700 block of Camelot Drive for a report of shots fired. They located shell casings in the roadway and were given a description of the suspect vehicle.

Fayette residents can dispose of non-hazardous household waste for free.

Event will take place from 4 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25 at Artworks at the Carver School.

In May, Lexington will celebrate its second annual Bike Month and you are invited to host an event! Bike Month will celebrate riding a bicycle for transportation, exercise and/or fun while reminding drivers to slow down, pay attention and share the road.

The event is set for Friday, April 28, at Central Bank Center.

Applications may be submitted by Fayette County artists, neighborhood associations, city departments, for-profit and non-profit businesses and community groups.

The City of Lexington’s annual tree planting event will take place on April 15 at Hisle Park, 3551 Briar Hill Road.

Residents on the streets listed below may see vehicles, work crews, and small equipment. Work crews will be wearing reflective vests and appropriate identification. Certain conditions may cause this schedule to change.

City officials and Parks & Recreation staff cut a ribbon to officially open a new concessions and restroom building at Ecton Park.

Workshops will focus on multi-modal transportation, waste management and water quality.
