Potomac Drive Barricaded Subject Arrest

One person has been arrested following a barricaded subject on Potomac Drive.

On 10/24/24, around 2:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of Potomac Drive for a report of domestic violence involving a weapon. When officers arrived, they learned that the suspect had physically assaulted a female victim, before barricading himself inside the residence with a firearm.

The suspect, Jason Fields, 47, was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree (Domestic Violence), Assault 4th Degree (Domestic Violence) Minor Injury, Strangulation 1st Degree (Domestic Violence Related), and five counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (Police Officer). He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
