Devonport Drive Homicide and Shooting Investigation

One of the victims from the October 3, 2024, shooting that occurred on Devonport Drive has passed away due to his injuries, and the investigation is now being conducted as a homicide and shooting. 

On October 3, 2024, around 9:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Devonport Drive for a shooting with two victims. When officers arrived, they located two victims outside with a gunshot wound. The victims were transported to a local hospital. The 18-year-old victim sustained reported life-threatening injuries and the 14-year-old victim had reported non-life-threatening injuries.

The 18-year-old victim, identified as Juan Martinez-Bustos by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, passed away from his injuries on October 15, 2024.
