Tates Creek Community Center (formerly known as Gainesway Community Center) is located in the Tates Creek neighborhood, near Tates Creek Elementary, Middle and High schools. It serves residents of Gainesway and other surrounding neighborhoods. The center sits on the grounds of Gainesway Park, which features tennis courts, a garden, a playground, a basketball court, and a lake with interwoven bridges and natural areas supporting native species.

History
Tates Creek Community Center, originally known as Gainesway Community Center, opened in 2008 under the Jim Newberry Mayoral administration. The center was designed by architects Albert + Burnworth, Inc. with contractors BCD Inc. handling construction. Managed by Social Services previously, Lexington Parks & Recreation took over operation and programming for the center in October 2022.
