Oliver Lewis Way between High St. and Broadway
Come celebrate spring, physical activity and streets as shared, public spaces at the third annual StreetFest! A section of Oliver Lewis Way will be closed to traffic, and community members are invited to bike, scoot, skate, dance and more on the mile-long car-free loop.
This family-friendly event will include a bounce house, giant bubbles, sidewalk chalk, hula hoops and more. Free bike tune-ups will be available.
Schedule of events:
- 10:30 a.m. - hula hoop contest
- 11:30 a.m. - slow bike race
Dogs are welcome, but they must be on a non-retractable leash.
Youth bikes will be available to check out from the City on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Food and drink will be available for purchase from Bella's Mini Donuts and Chaotic Good.
There will be limited street parking including on DeRoode and Merino streets. Additionally, UK’s Cornerstone Garage on S. Limestone is free and open to the public from 7 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday.

Bike Month is back this May!
Bike Month celebrates riding a bicycle for transportation, exercise and fun while reminding drivers to slow down, pay attention and share the road! The month-long celebration will include in-person, virtual, and self-paced events hosted by the City and community partners.
