Part of Martin Luther King Blvd. closed for sanitary sewer work

Martin Luther King Blvd. will be closed between East Fifth Street and Rand Ave. starting Monday, Nov. 25 for sanitary sewer construction. The roadway is expected to reopen by Friday, Dec. 27.

To detour around the closure, drivers traveling north on Martin Luther King Blvd. can use East Fifth Street and North Limestone, and drivers traveling south can use East Sixth Street and Elm Tree Lane. Engman Alley can be reached via Rand Ave. during the closure. Homes in the area will remain accessible during construction.

This project is a continuation of sanitary sewer work in the area to replace existing sewer lines that often require additional maintenance due to age.
