The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred this morning on Betsy Lane.
On Sunday, September 8, 2024, around 1:06 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Betsy Lane for a shooting with a victim. When they arrived, they located a female victim with a gunshot would. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased. A male victim arrived at a local hospital while officers were on scene with reported non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office will release the decedent’s name.
