One Person Arrested After Shots Fired Incident

One person has been charged in connection with a shots fired incident that occurred near Liberty Road and Man O War Boulevard. 

On July 26, 2024, around 9:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Liberty Rd and Man O War Blvd.  When officers arrived, they learned that an individual in a truck was shooting at three other vehicles. Officers observed property damage caused by gunshots to the vehicles. No injuries were reported. Utilizing the Real-Time Intelligence Center, license plate readers, and FUSUS, officers were able to identify and locate the suspect vehicle.

Christopher Lunsford, 44, was arrested and is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center on the below charges. 

  • Seven counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
  • Three Counts Criminal Mischief 1st Degree
