North Broadway Shooting Arrest

One person has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred on North Broadway.

On June 14, 2024, around 6:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of North Broadway for a shooting with a victim. When officers arrived, they located a male victim inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with reported non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect fled before officers arrived.

Utilizing the Real-Time Intelligence Center, license plate readers, and traffic cameras, detectives were able to identify the suspect as Jayden Walker, 18. Walker was arrested on June 24, 2024, and charged with Assault 1st (Complicit) and Receiving Stolen Property $10,000.00 or more. He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
