Main Street Shooting Investigation Arrest

One person has been arrested in connection with a shooting that took place downtown on Friday night.

On May 10, 2024, around 10:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of East Main Street and North Limestone for a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with reported life-threatening-injuries.

Alonzo Richardson, 25, was arrested on May 13, 2024, and is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center on the below charges.

  • Assault 1st degree
  • Violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO
