Multi-agency Narcotics Investigation and Arrests

Three people have been arrested for trafficking narcotics into the Lexington area.

Over the past week, detectives with the Lexington Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit, Winchester Police Department, Gateway Area Task Force, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), conducted a joint investigation into several out-of-state suspects involved in trafficking narcotics into Lexington.

During the investigation, 27 pounds of methamphetamine, 1.5 pounds of fentanyl, $15,809 in cash, and one handgun were located and seized.

On March 12, 2024, the following individuals were charged and arrested. They are currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.

  • Fred Hardin, 41
    • Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree – Methamphetamine
    • Two counts of Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree – Fentanyl Aggravated
       
  • Gene Primus, 31
    • Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree – Methamphetamine      
    • Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree – Fentanyl
       
  • Danielle Taylor, 39
    • Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree – Methamphetamine
    • Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree – Fentanyl Aggravated
