Bank Robbery Arrest

Update: February, 17, 2024

One person has been arrested in connection with the Bank Robbery that occurred on February 15, 2024. Detectives in our Personal Crimes Unit, utilizing our Real-Time Intelligence Center, traffic cameras, and Flock license plate readers were able to assist with identifying a suspect. Charleston, West Virginia Police Department assisted with the arrest and investigation.  

The suspect, Richard D. Hudson, 71, was charged with Robbery 1st Degree by the Lexington Police Department. He is currently being held at South Central Regional Jail in Charleston, WV.

On February 15, 2024, at 2:25 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Traditional Bank in the 3300 block of Tates Creek Road for a robbery. A suspect entered the bank and demanded money. The suspect fled the bank with an unknown amount of money. At this time, no injuries have been reported.
