Case Overview: On November 17, 1974 at 4:51 PM, officers responded to 1209 Winchester Road, Texaco gas station, for the report of a subject down. When officers arrived they discovered Elvin Wilkerson inside the gas station unresponsive. Wilkerson was an attendant at the Texaco station and had been the apparent victim of a robbery and assault. Wilkerson suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
