Winburn Drive Homicide Investigation

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred this evening on Winburn Drive. 

At 7:25 p.m. on December 12, 2023, officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Winburn Drive for a shooting with a victim. When they arrived, they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office will release the decedent’s name. 

At this time, all parties have been identified, and detectives from the Personal Crimes Section continue to investigate.
