City offices to close at noon today

Mayor Linda Gorton said city offices that are not involved in weather response will close at noon today, March 3.

“Citizens who can stay home this afternoon should do so. Driving in the high winds that are predicted for Lexington is not safe,” Gorton said. “We are closing city offices to give our employees time to get home.”

Other agencies will also close at noon, including the Fayette County Clerk and the Property Valuation Administrator.

City emergency crews will remain on duty.
