Jennifer Road Homicide Investigation Arrest

The Lexington Police Department has charged one person in connection with the September 22, 2022 shooting death of Raymond Brooks. 

Jonathan Lockhart, 37, was charged with Murder on November 11, 2022. At the time he was charged, Lockhart was in the Fayette County Detention Center on charges unrelated to the homicide and he remains in custody.

At 12:01 p.m. on September 22, 2022, officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Jennifer Road for an individual who had been shot. When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. 

The victim was later identified as Raymond Brooks, 51, by the Fayette County Coroner's Office.
