Two Juveniles Arrested for a Shooting on West Short Street

Two juveniles have been arrested following a shooting at West Short Street and Mill Street on September 10, 2022.

At 10:44 p.m., officers responded to the area of West Short Street and Mill Street for a shooting. When officers arrived, they located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to a local hospital. One victim suffered critical injuries and the other was treated for reported non-life threatening injuries.

Lexington Police is prohibited from identifying the suspects because they are juveniles, but their ages and charges are as follows:

Suspect #1 – 16 years old

  • Two counts of Assault 1st Degree
  • Two counts of Possession of a Handgun by a Minor
  • Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
     

Suspect #2 – 16 years old

  • Two counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
