Get outdoors with Nature Hop!

Nature Hop is back! This highly popular annual event encourages people to enjoy the variety of green spaces found throughout Fayette County and to experience these spaces in new ways. 

On Sunday, Sept. 18, Nature Hop events will take place at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., allowing participants to attend multiple events throughout the day. Activities range from yoga to nature hikes to history talks to printmaking.

The day will conclude with a Sunset Celebration at Jacobson Park from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Food trucks, kayaks, and live music will be available at the celebration. 

A list of community partners hosting events and this year’s schedule is available online at lexingtonky.gov/NatureHop. All activities are free. Some events require participants to register in advance.

Nature Hop events will kick off the evening of Saturday, Sept. 17, with activities and a movie under the stars at 3310 Brunswick Road in Shillito Park. Activities start at 7:30 p.m. The movie, Ant-Man, begins at 8:30 p.m.

The rain date for Nature Hop is Sunday, Sept. 25.
