UPDATE - Jan 23, 2023: One person has been arrested and charged for the September 12, 2022, shooting death of Doricky Harris.

Bobby Lashawn Hubbard was arrested on January 21, 2023, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, by the Hattiesburg Police Department for an outstanding warrant from the homicide.

Hubbard has been charged with Murder and is currently being held at the Forrest County, MS Detention Center pending extradition to Kentucky.

The victim from yesterday’s shooting in the 500 block of West Sixth Street has succumbed to their injuries. The shooting is now being investigated as a homicide.

Around 9:27 p.m. on September 12, 2022, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of West Sixth Street for an individual who had been shot. When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The victim has been identified as Doricky Harris, 22, by the Fayette County Coroner's Office.
