Golden Alert canceled for a missing man

The Golden Alert has been canceled. Dallas Hedges was located and is safe.

The Lexington Police Department has issued a Golden Alert for a missing man. Dallas Hedges, 79, is reported missing from his home at the 4100 block of Leestown Road.

Hedges has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. He is approximately 5’ 4” tall, 140 lbs, and has short grey hair. He is possibly wearing a dark green jacket, tan pants, mismatched tennis shoes, and likely wearing a ball cap.

Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
