Honor Guard School

Attention all Public Safety Guards:

The Lexington Honor Guard will be conducting a week long school on October 25th through October 29th. The school is a 40 hour Kentucky Law Enforcement Council (KLEC) certified course which focuses on developing basic knowledge and proficiency with Honor Guard related assignments; military drill, parades, posting colors, firing party, casket guard, flag folding and concludes on Friday with an exercise that includes a simulated full honors funeral.

We welcome agencies from all over the state and region, and work hard to provide the highest level of training possible. Because of the direct nature of the instruction and the level of activity, class size will be limited. We are currently filling spots on a first-come basis.

If this course looks like a good fit for your agency’s training needs or if you have any further questions, please contact class coordinator Officer Alex Ramirez.

We appreciate your consideration, and hope to see you in October!
