New Circle Road and Meadow Lane hit & run investigation

The Lexington Police Department has charged a 17 year-old juvenile in connection with a fatal hit-and-run collision that happened in the area of New Circle Road and Meadow Lane.

Around 9:49 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, officers responded to New Circle Road and Meadow Lane for a collision involving a pedestrian. The 41-year-old victim, Randy Baker, identified by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, was struck as he was riding his bicycle across New Circle Road near Meadow Lane. The juvenile suspect fled the scene after the collision.

After further investigation officers located the juvenile and the vehicle. He was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Tampering with Physical Evidence, No Operator’s License, and No Insurance.
