Arrest Made in April 2023 Fatal Collision

One person has been charged in connection with a fatal vehicle collision that occurred in April 2023.

At approximately 5:18 p.m. on April 30, 2023, officers were dispatched to the 5900 block of Todds Road for an injury collision involving two vehicles. The preliminary investigation found that a vehicle driven by Robert Seeley, 67, crossed the center line and struck a passenger vehicle. The female driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she later succumbed to her injuries on May 11, 2023.

A Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) evaluated Seeley and found he was impaired at the time of the collision. Investigators with the Collision Reconstruction Unit continued to investigate the factors of the collision, and on December 6, 2023, Robert Seeley was indicted for Vehicular Homicide, DUI 1st (Aggravated), and Failure to Notify DOT of Address Change.

Seeley is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
