Three Teens Charged with a Stolen Vehicle and Fleeing Police

Three juveniles have been charged in connection with receiving a stolen vehicle and fleeing from police.

On December 6, 2023, officers in the Tates Creek Road vicinity received a Flock license plate reader alert that a reported stolen vehicle may be in the area. When an officer activated their emergency equipment to initiate a traffic stop on the stolen vehicle, the vehicle fled. Officers did not pursue the vehicle. A short time later, officers located the vehicle and observed three subjects fleeing from the car. The suspects were arrested at the scene.

Lexington Police is prohibited from identifying the suspects because they are juveniles, but their ages and charges are as follows:

Suspect #1 – 16 years old

  • Fleeing/Evading 1st Degree (On Foot)
  • Receiving Stolen Property $1,000 < $10,00


Suspect #2 – 15 years old

  • Fleeing/Evading 1st Degree (On Foot)
  • Receiving Stolen Property $1,000 < $10,000
     

Suspect #3 – 15 years old

  • Fleeing/Evading 1st Degree (On Foot)
  • Receiving Stolen Property $1,000 < $10,000
  • Fleeing/Evading 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
