Hill Street Homicide Investigation

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide.

At approximately 8:16 p.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2021, officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the 1400 block of Hill Street. Upon arrival officers located a man suffering from gunshot wounds near an apartment complex. Officers began CPR on the victim until Lexington Fire Department arrived and transported him to a local hospital.

The 51-year-old male victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital. His name will be released by the Fayette County Coroner’s office pending notification of family.

This investigation is ongoing.
