Republic Bank Robbery Arrest

One person has been arrested and charged for a robbery Stephen Conoverthat took place this morning at the Republic Bank on Euclid Avenue.

On November 29, 2022, at 10:22 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Republic Bank in the 600 block of Euclid Ave for a robbery with the suspect still present. Upon arrival, the suspect exited the bank holding a metallic object and said he had a gun. Officers determined that the object was not a firearm and an officer deployed their Taser. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for Taser-related injuries.

The suspect was later identified as Stephen Conover, 26. Conover was charged with 1st degree robbery and is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
