Sandalwood Drive Homicide Investigation

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide.

At approximately 8:37 p.m., Thursday, November 25, police were dispatched to a disorder and shots fired in the 400 block of Sandalwood Drive. Upon arrival officers located a man deceased from gunshot wounds inside the residence.

The 36-year-old male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name will be released by the Fayette County Coroner’s office pending notification of family.

A 17-year-old male juvenile was charged with Murder. The juvenile was placed into custody and transported to the Fayette Regional Juvenile Detention Center.

This investigation is ongoing.
