Richmond Road Fatal Hit-and-Run Arrest

One person has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that occurred late yesterday on Richmond Road.

On Monday, November 11, 2024, around 11:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to an injury collision involving a vehicle and moped on Richmond Road. When they arrived, officers located the moped operator deceased. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the decedent.

Using the department’s Real-Time Intelligence Center, including the Fusus platform and Flock license plate readers, Collision Reconstruction Investigators were able to locate and identify the driver.

Logan Rogers, 21, was arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of Accident/Failure to Render Aid or Assist leading to Death or Serious Physical Injury. He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
