North Mill Street Shooting Investigation Arrest

The Lexington Police Department has arrested one person in connection with a shooting that left four people injured on North Mill Street overnight. 

On October 1, 2023, at approximately 1:38 a.m., officers heard shots fired near Short Street and Mill Street. Officers located four victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the 100 block of North Mill Street. One male with reported critical injuries, and a male and two females with non-life-threatening injuries were transported to a local hospital. 

The suspect, Jamonte Robertson, 24, was arrested at the scene. During the investigation, detectives learned that Robertson was involved in a disorder before the shooting. 

Jamonte Robertson has been charged with Assault 1st degree, three counts of Assault 2nd degree, Possession of a Handgun by Convicted Felon, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
