The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred overnight on Centre Parkway.
On September 30, 2023, at around 1:19 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Centre Parkway for shots fired. When they arrived, they found a male victim outside suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The suspect fled before officers arrived.
The Fayette County Coroner's Office will release the name of the decedent.
