Cambridge Drive Homicide Investigation

UPDATE: 09/08/24 - One person as been arrested in connection with the September 3 homicide that took place on Cambridge Drive.

Xavier Walker, 28, was arrested on September 8, and charged with Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, and Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon. He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred this evening on Cambridge Drive.

On September 3, 2024, around 5:12 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Cambridge Drive for shots fired. When officers arrived, they located a male victim with a gunshot wound in the 2000 block of Cambridge Drive. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Deonte Logan, 30.
