McCubbing Drive to reopen partially

On Tuesday, Sept. 6, McCubbing Drive will partially reopen, allowing traffic to move between Harrodsburg Road and Lafayette Parkway.

Although motorists on McCubbing will be able to cross Clays Mill Road from Harrodsburg Road to Lafayette Parkway, it will not be possible to turn onto Clays Mill Road due to construction.

Clays Mill Road, from Lane Allen to Springhill Drive, will continue to be closed to through traffic until the end of the year. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.

Drivers coming from Lafayette Parkway should use Springhill Drive, McCubbing Drive (starting next Tuesday) or Rosemont Garden to reach Harrodsburg Road. These routes will assist with traffic to and from Lafayette High School.

Construction on Clays Mill Road is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2023. More information: lexingtonky.gov/clays-mill-road-project.
