Fayette Mall Shooting Arrests

Two arrests have been made following the August 26, 2022, shooting at the Fayette Mall.

Around 4:24 p.m., on August 26, 2022, officers responded to the Fayette Mall parking lot for a shooting. Officers located an unoccupied vehicle that had been struck by gunshots and shell casings. The suspects fled the scene before the officers' arrival. During the investigation, detectives identified two suspects and warrants were issued for their arrests.

Marquis Tompkins, 23, was arrested on September 1, 2022, and charged with five counts of 1st-degree Wanton Endangerment. Dayron Parks, 22, was arrested on August 30, 2022 and charged with one count of 1st-degree Wanton Endangerment and one count of 1st-degree Criminal Mischief.
