One Person Arrested In Connection to a Shooting

One person has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left a woman injured on Cambridge Drive.

On July 2, 2024, around 2:37 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Cambridge Drive for a shooting with a victim. Officers located a female victim with a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives identified Josiah Riggs, 37, as the suspect. Riggs was arrested on August 24, 2024 and charged with Assault 1st Degree and Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon. He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
