Stratford Drive Homicide Investigation Arrest

UPDATE 03/19/22: The Lexington Police Department has charged one person in connection with a homicide that occurred on Stratford Drive. Justus Bales, 25, has been charged with Murder – Domestic Violence.

At around  2:29 a.m., Saturday, March 19, 2022, officers responded to the 400 block of Stratford Drive for an assault with a weapon. When officers arrived, they located Leslie Bales, 54, suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Justus Bales is currently detained at the Fayette County Detention Center. 

This is still an ongoing investigation.

At around  2:29 a.m., Saturday, March 19, 2022, officers responded to the 400 block of Stratford Drive for an assault with a weapon. When officers arrived, they located an 54-year-old female victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The victim’s name will be released by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.

This is still an ongoing investigation.
