Chase Place Homicide Investigation Arrest

UPDATE - 03/09/22: One person has been charged in this morning’s homicide that occurred in the 300 block of Chase Place.

The Lexington Police Department has charged Darryl Russell, 53,  in connection with the shooting death of Darian Webb, 18.

Russell has been charged with Murder and Assault 4th Degree - Domestic Violence. He is currently detained at the Fayette County Detention Center

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Chase Place.

At around  5:22 a.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2022, officers responded to the 300 block of Chase Place for an assault with a weapon. When officers arrived, they located an 18-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased a short time later.

The victim’s name will be released by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.
