One person has been arrested after posing as a property rental company representative and defrauding individuals.
In January 2024, detectives with the Financial Crimes Unit received reports that an individual was posing online as a property rental company representative, collecting deposits from individuals, and then ceasing all communication. During the investigation, detectives identified the suspect, Justina Boggs, 32. A warrant for Theft by Deception over $1,000 was issued, and Boggs was Bluegrass Crime Stoppers Most Wanted Person of the Week on January 25, 2024.
Justina Boggs was arrested on February 10, 2024, after officers were dispatched to a domestic disorder in the 2000 block of Coburn Drive. In addition to the warrant, Boggs was also charged for the disorder. She has also been charged by Financial Crimes detectives with Theft by Deception $500-$1,000.
