Domestic Violence and Fetal Homicide Arrest

One person has been arrested for fetal homicide following a domestic violence incident that occurred early this morning.

On Friday, January 20, 2023, at 9:24 a.m., officers were called to a local hospital for a victim of domestic violence. When officers arrived, they learned that the victim suffered a miscarriage following a domestic violence assault.

Rigoberto Vasquez-Barradas, 24, was arrested and charged with 1st-degree fetal homicide, 1st-degree strangulation, and 2nd-degree assault – domestic violence.

Vasquez is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
