The Family Care Center accepts donations that help the families served by our programs.
We are grateful for donated items listed below but cannot accept cribs, car seats or large items such as furniture. Cash donations are appreciated and also tax deductible; checks should be made payable to “LFUCG” and mailed or brought to the Center at 1135 Harry Sykes Way.
Baby items needed
- Diapers (all sizes)
- Wipes (scent free)
- Bibs
- Infant supplies
- Baby clothes (in good condition)
- Infant formula
- High chairs
- Strollers
- Baby bath tubs
- Nursing cushions or “boppy” pillows
Preschool items needed
- Child sweat pants, 5T and smaller
- Child underwear (boys and girls), 5T and smaller
- Crayons, construction paper, art supplies
- Child clothing and shoes, sized for preschoolers up to age 5
Family items needed
- Personal hygiene items
- Household items (sheets, towels, etc.)
- Small lamps
- Small, lightweight TVs
- Small appliances (toasters, coffee makers, etc.)
- $10 gift cards to grocery and department stores
Cash donations can help fund…
- Incentive programs for on-site high school students to reinforce school attendance, class completion, positive parenting and behavior
- Artistic and cultural programming such as music classes, drama workshops or on-site theatrical performances for families
- Staff professional development opportunities
- Student awards, graduation celebrations and other events
- Facility enhancements such as renovation of our courtyard or playground upgrades
