Legacy Business Park (“Legacy”) includes 200 acres of land formerly used by the University of Kentucky’s College of Agriculture for dairy and poultry research, and is located east of Georgetown Road just south of I 64/75. The site is within the current Urban Service Boundary and adjacent to the Coldstream Research Campus and Coventry neighborhood, as well as across Georgetown Road from the Kearney Hall neighborhood.
The Master Plan for Legacy contains approximately 135 acres of developable land across 13 parcels ranging from 8 to 21 acres in size. Parcel boundaries are intended to be flexible, and can accommodate a wide range of uses. A total of 45 acres are dedicated to open space that connects to the existing 22-mile connected bike and pedestrian trail, and the final 20 acres are dedicated to infrastructure for the project.
The property is zoned as a restricted I-1, which allows for light industrial development geared towards higher paying jobs and compatibility with the surrounding community.
