Collision reports on open cases may be received five days after the report is filed. Only individuals involved in a collision may obtain a report pertaining to that incident. For questions about obtaining a collision report, please call Central Records at (859) 258-3568 during regular business hours.
Online reports
You will need:
- Case number (local code number)
- Report date
- Last name of the owner/driver of the vehicle
Use “Lexington Police Department” as the jurisdiction. The fee is $10 per report.
Walk-in reports
Collision reports can be obtained in person at Police Headquarters, 150 E. Main Street.
Please provide the following:
- Case number
- Name of driver/owner
- Location of collision
- Date of collision
- Photo ID
There is a fee of $5 per report.
By mail
Provide the "walk-in" information above. When requesting by mail, include the $5 fee for the report and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Mail the request to:
