Charles Young Center is a multi-use center that houses many structured programs, including the Police Athletic League, the OMAC youth mentoring program, the LFUCG Senior Satellite Center, and youth and teen activities. The center also houses WORK-Lexington and the Urban League. Charles Young has a basketball court and stage inside the center. Charles Young Park and Splash Pad are located behind the building.

History
Charles Young Center was established in 1934 as the city’s first indoor public recreation facility for African Americans. It is on the national register of historic places in Lexington. It is located in the east end.
