Case Overview: Shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021, officers responded to the 700-block of Florence Avenue for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds; a 67-year-old male victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury, a 27-year-old male victim suffered serious injuries, and a 17-year-old victim suffered life-threatening injuries.
The 17-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as Mar’quevion Leach.
