Upcoming sanitary sewer construction on Locust Avenue

Part of Locust Avenue will be closed for sanitary sewer replacement beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 17. This is part of the Meadows/Northland/Arlington Project.

Locust Avenue will be closed from Bryan Avenue to Willowlawn Avenue. Blue Grass Avenue may be used as a detour route. Locust Avenue residents will be able to reach their homes, but there will be no thru traffic.

This closure is expected to last until the completion of the project in the fall of this year.

This work is part of the Meadows/Northland/Arlington Project to improve neighborhood infrastructure in the areas around Bluegrass and Highlawn Avenues. The project includes construction of curbs, gutters and sidewalks, street reconstruction, storm sewer improvements, and sanitary sewer replacement.
