Online Reports:

CRIME REPORT: (for victims, personal use, insurance claims) Individuals will need the Case Number, Report Date and Date of Birth of the Victim. Access your crime report >> .

TRAFFIC COLLISION REPORT:  You will need the Case Number given to you at the time your report was taken; Report Date; Last Name of the Owner/Driver of the vehicle. Access your traffic collision report >>.

If you are unable to access your report, please contact the Central Records Unit at 258-3568, Monday through Friday: 8 AM to 5 PM.  There is a fee for accessing reports online.  Only persons involved in an incident may obtain a copy of the report.  A report that references mulitiple victims will not be available online.  Reports are available at Central Records - click here for more info >>



Citizen Online Police Reporting System:

Using the Lexington Division of Police - Citizen Online Reporting System, you can submit a report only for the following incidents:
  • Harassing communications
  • Fraudulent use of a credit/debit card
  • Theft by unlawful taking
  • Criminal mischief
  • Property lost or mislaid
  • Larceny from Auto (less than $500)

Honor Guard Training Course (40 hours)

June 24 - June 28, 2013

 The Lexington Division of Police Honor guard is proud to announce a 40 hour Honor Guard Training Course.  The course is certified by the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council.  There are no prerequisites and all experience levels are welcomed.  Course features training, education and experience in proper protocol when performing ceremonial functions. MORE >>

If you are the victim of a money scam that has occurred outside of Fayette County, go to:  www.ic3.gov. The ICCC is a national reporting center for crime relating to internet scams, fraudulent uses of credit cards when they are used outside of Fayette County and cases where money is wired outside of Fayette County in anticipation of receiving goods or services (E-Bay, Craigslist, and Overseas Lottery Scams). The ICCC will forward the complaint to the appropriate Law Enforcement Agency for review and/or investigation. See more info >

Mopeds - Go Carts - Scooters: What You Need to Know 

Do you plan to drive one? See the requirements . . .
According to Kentucky Revised Statutes, gas and electric scooters are not allowed on roadways unless the operator has a license. This includes mopeds, golf carts, go-carts, or any vehicle propelled by means other than muscular power.

The Police Activities League of Lexington is a crime prevention program that relies on recreation, athletics and education to build a positive relationship between police officers, youth, and the community - "Cops and Kids Working Together To Make a Difference."
