Geoff Reed returns to Urban County Government after a six-month absence. Geoff served as Senior Advisor to Mayor Gray before becoming Director of Congressman Ben Chandler's office in July 2012. He now returns to government to serve as Commissioner of General Services.
With over thirty years in government, Reed brings a wealth of knowledge from his experience at the local, state, and federal levels. He has served in a variety of leadership roles from Deputy Director of the Administrative Office of the Courts, and policy advisor for the Department of Mental Health, to the Deputy Secretary of the Human Resources Cabinet, and in the Governor's Office of Policy and Management to budget analyst for the Legislative Research Commission. Reed holds a master's degree in public administration and bachelor's degree in political science and history from the University of Kentucky.

Janet Graham is a former private practitioner at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, and served for eight years as Assistant Deputy Attorney General for three Kentucky Attorneys General. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky Law School.

A nationally recognized expert in building safe communities, Derek Paulsen is also an expert on neighborhoods as professor at Eastern Kentucky University and the current chair of the Planning Commission. He holds a Ph.D. from Sam Houston State University in Texas. He is a life-long Lexington resident. He and his wife, Stacey, have two sons.

Clay Mason is a 25-year employee of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Over the years he has worked in Washington, Frankfort and Lexington, where he supervised the Lexington FBI office and Lexington Joint Terrorism Task Force. Mason, a native of Frankfort, holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky and he is a graduate of the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. Mason and his wife live in Lawrenceburg with their three boys.

Beth Mills is returning to the Department of Social Services, where she worked for more than 14 years. Since 2004 she has worked at the University of Kentucky as a faculty member and Director of Field Education for the College of Social Work. Mills holds a master's degree and a bachelor's degree in social work from UK. Beth and her husband, Ron, have three children.
